Job Summary: Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic is a newly founded team-based, physician-led, comprehensive health and wellness clinic in the beautiful area of Gillette, Wyoming. Our company was created to provide prospective healthcare resources to the community and meet the needs of our patient base. To do this effectively, we encourage spending more time with patients through a lower daily patient volume. In addition, we are structured to provide a large variety of additional services to patients in-house, including a compounding pharmacy, lab, mental health and social support, exercise and nutrition support, and general primary care.

HH&WC offers top-tier technology resources to help achieve these goals and is open to additional resource recommendations pertaining to your specialist field. The Medical Biller is responsible for coordinating with front office staff to ensure billings are accurate, timely, and ethical.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
• Resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
• Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
• Post stop-payment notices to prevent payment of protested checks.
• Verify signatures and required information on checks.
• Keep records of invoices and support documents.
• Perform bookkeeping work, including posting data or keeping other records concerning costs of goods or services or the shipment of goods.
• Contact customers to obtain or relay account information.
• Route statements for mailing or over-the-counter delivery to customers.
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Consult sources, such as rate books, manuals, or insurance company representatives, to determine specific charges or information such as rules, regulations, or government tax and tariff information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of Medical Coding/ Billing or possession of a valid Medical Billing Certificate; or ability to obtain
• 3+ years previous experience working in Medical Billing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
