The University of Vermont Medical Center has several openings in our Blood Bank and Microbiology Departments for various shifts. Come join our amazing team and make a difference in our community. It is about 1.5 hours from Montreal, 3.5 hours from Boston and has an international airport.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Basic laboratory skills, maintenance, QC, and troubleshooting abilities. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for teaching, training, correction of procedural/instrument issues increase through the range of MLS I to MLS III.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor\'s degree in biological science or chemistry and Medical Laboratory Scientist certification.

EXPERIENCE:

Laboratory experience preferred. Candidate will be hired in as an MLS I or MLS II based on experience. Salary in posting reflects pay of MLS I position.

SIGN ON BONUS:

External candidates are eligible for up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus for new grads, up to $5,000 for individuals with more than three years of experience. Current employees of the UVM Health Network are not eligible for this bonus. Additional terms and conditions apply.

RELOCATION BONUS:

Relocation bonus is available to a candidate moving more than 50 miles from UVMMC Main Campus. Current employees of the UVM Health Network are not eligible for this bonus. Additional terms and conditions apply.
