Lovelace Health System in beautiful Albuquerque, NM, is searching for a Medical Physicist to join its collegial satellite oncology team. The incoming physicist will provide medical physics services to Lovelace Cancer Center, Lovelace Medical Center, and Lovelace Women\'s Hospital for IORT--all located in Albuquerque.

\xc2\xb7 Lovelace Health System is home to advanced technology including: Varian 21iX linear accelerator, Tomotherapy HD, Pinnacle planning system, GammaKnife Icon, Varian HDR, Zeiss Intrabeam (IORT), Mosaiq R&V, Matrixx QA, and Radcalc.

\xc2\xb7 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

\xc2\xb7 Weekend call 1:4 (extremely rare to be called in)

Physicist Job Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 The Medical Physicist has an academic Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and at least one academic degree in Physics or a closely allied science.

\xc2\xb7 The physicist is a member of the radiation therapy treatment team who is familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of the radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed, and they have the training and expertise necessary to measure and generate radiation, output, dose distributions and calculations without any close supervision.

Physicist Education and Experience Job Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Required: Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Physics or a closely related allied science.

\xc2\xb7 3 + years\xe2\x80\x99 experience

\xc2\xb7 Board certification (ABR, ABMP, or equivalent)

\xc2\xb7 BLS

\xc2\xb7 Eligible to become Authorized Medical Physicist (AMP) for Gammaknife Icon and Varian HDR (prior AMP status preferred).

\xc2\xb7 Experience with Mosaiq, Varian linacs, Tomotherapy, Pinnacle, Brachyvision, Radcalc, and intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) with Zeiss Intrabeam.
