Overview
The Vermont Department of Mental Health (DMH) resides under the Agency of Human Services (AHS) and has the mission to promote and improve the health of Vermonters.
The team at DMH is always striving to maintain the current level of services available in the system of care for Vermonters while continuing to seek opportunities that expand access to mental health services. The goal is to improve the consumer experience by increasing availability, reducing wait times, and removing barriers whenever possible to allow Vermonters and their families to receive the most appropriate care when and where they need it.
DMH is seeking a Mental Health Analyst I with research, statistical, and program evaluation experience involving analyses and service systems research. Duties include selection of advanced statistical methodology and database development. Work is performed at both the systems and policy levels, under the general supervision of an administrative superior. All employees of the Agency of Human Services perform their respective functions adhering to four key practices: customer service, holistic service, strengths-based relationships and results orientation.
DMH operates on a hybrid work schedule that can be flexible to promote work-life balance and allow for teleworking several days a week

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Meetings with data users and providers may require some travel, for which private means of transportation must be available. Some work outside of normal office hours may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, information technology, or other analytics discipline.
OR
One (1) year or more of years of experience in research, statistics, or program evaluation where the activities include gathering, analyzing, and interpreting statistical data.
