Middle School Principal | Evergreen Middle School | 12 Month Calendar | Start Date: 7/3/2023

General Duties:

The principal is the administrative leader of the school, and as such assumes full responsibility for all aspects of the school. The principal will use necessary leadership, supervisory and administrative skills so as to promote the educational development of each student to their fullest potential. Use of independent judgment and decision-making is required in matters not having established rules, regulations or policies. The principal is responsible directly to the Executive Director of Schools.

Essential Requirements:

• A valid State of Oregon Administrative License appropriate for the position
• A Master\'s Degree with preferred emphasis in Education
• Successful experience in K-12 Administration
• The Ability to work well in a team environment
• The ability to follow oral and written instructions
• The ability to effectively work, support, and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
• The ability to work harmoniously with others
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
• Middle School and/or teacher leadership experience preferred
• Equity minded leader who is a strong communicator
• Knowledge of schoolwide AVID implementation, dual language and special education preferred.
• Commitment to mental health and social emotional learning
• Successful secondary administrative experience and collaborating with a team preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred (bilingual is defined as fluency in reading, writing and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool)
