DescriptionLeidos Defense Sector is seeking a talented Mid-Level Electrical Hardware Design Engineer candidate to join a multidisciplinary team to create unique solutions to complex engineering challenges in our Huntsville, AL location. We have offices across the United States that provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields. The ideal candidate will thrive in a learning environment that encourages leadership and technical growth.Primary ResponsibilitiesAs an essential part of our dynamic team developing advanced electrical system designs. You will analyze, design and integrate solutions that will successfully address a wide variety of customer challenges.You will primarily be focused on electrical design and integration for the Enduring Shield ground based force protection system, but there are also opportunities to participate in design of electrical architectures and integrated systems for other mission-critical systems that include flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and space hardware.Responsibilities include:High speed and mixed signal schematic design and simulation.System level electrical design including cable design specification and cable drawingsParts selection and derating activitiesNew PCB hardware design verification testingSupport system level integration activitiesSTE (Special Test Equipment) design and assemblyBasic QualificationsCandidate must possess a Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution with 4+ years of experience or less than 2 years with MS degree.Candidate must have a working knowledge of digital/analog/mixed signal electronics, components, and interface/communication standardsCandidate must have experience in electronics design and test from architecture through implementationPosition requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teamsCandidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environmentCandidate must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methodsCandidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL areaCandidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret ClearancePreferred QualificationsTDP knowledgeCable design experienceComponent derating experienceSystem level integration and test experienceOriginal Posting Date: 2024-10-14While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
