Mid-Level Planner - Tampa

Halff is seeking to immediately hire a mid-level Planner with an emphasis in Land Entitlements and Land Planning for our Tampa, Florida office. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of planners, landscape architects, civil engineers, and others, to provide production support on a wide variety of planning efforts with public and private sector clients ranging from land use planning and public policy making.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary environment to help client communities proactively plan and design for their future.

Responsibilities: * Develop planning studies and reports in support of new development projects

• Review development proposal for compliance with zoning and land use regulations
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support project teams in developing public policy and planning strategies
• Provide technical support and assistance to project teams to maximize and bolster the effectiveness and value of projects

Qualifications: * Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Policy, or another related field

• Experience working with local governments and / or private sector planning
• Background and interest in urban planning, real estate development, local government policies
• Working knowledge of CADD
• Proficient writing and communication skills
