Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid-South region and has been in business since 1987. We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.

Mobile Assessor
Oxford, MS (Lafayette or Panola County)

We are currently seeking full-time Mobile Assessor. The Mobile Assessor provides telephone and walk-in risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Develops and maintains direct referral relationships in designated markets. This Assessor will target the northern Mississippi area.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to varied population of patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.
Education:
Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree required in a behavioral health field or crentials/education as a Registered Nurse.
Experience: Prefer prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting
Licensure/Certification: LCSW / LPC / LMFT / RN, Advance Practice Mental Health Professional license is highly preferred. CPR Certification.
Knowledge:
Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
