Mold Maker :
Our Client is a mid-sized custom injection molding firm located in central New Jersey. Our company was founded in 1981 and operates 29 injection molding presses across two facilities in close proximity. The firm specializes in smaller, complex, components for a variety of industries and works with all types of thermoplastic materials. Our largest molding press is 275 tons, and our toolroom generally manufactures/repairs handles molds of less than 1 ton in weight.

Mold Maker, Tool and Die Maker
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review work order, CAD drawings, specifications and tooling requirements in preparation for making new molds or performing repairs on existing molds.
• Set up and operate CNC-controlled milling machines, EDM machines, lathe in addition to manual surface grinders and Bridgeport type mills.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and make repair recommendations for plastic molds.
• Layout tooling jigs and fixtures.
• Verify in accordance with specifications and blueprints all dimensions, clearances, and tolerances utilizing all types of gauges and precision measuring instruments.
• Required Skills / Responsibilities:
• Lead Mold maker will be able to complete all aspects of mold manufacturing.
• Familiarity will all types of molds, including hot runner and automatic unscrewing designs.
• Experience with design and construction of copper electrodes as required.
• Familiarity with MasterCam software required.
• At least (10) Years\xe2\x80\x99 experience and able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Self-starter able to complete mold builds/repairs with limited or no supervision.
