Maintains visual checks on monitors constantly until relieved by a qualified person.
Monitors are observed continuously, and the patient\'s rhythm is documented on flow sheet every eight (8) hours to include date, time, rate, rhythm, PR interval, QRS duration, rhythm interpretation, ST analysis.
Assures that alarms are maintained in the \xe2\x80\x9cON\xe2\x80\x9d position at all times. Reports mechanical difficulties to the appropriate person and follows up as necessary.
Reports any life-threatening rhythms or rhythms of significant change immediately to the nurse. Notifies RN promptly when procedures are performed, i.e., removal of epicardial wires, pacemaker interrogation, etc.
Ensure individual telemetry units are cleaned after each use.
Admit and discharge patients from system in a timely manner.
Ensures proper disposition of competed flowsheets and any other patient records
Maintains adequate supply of monitoring equipment.
Routinely reviews rhythm strips and the patient\'s condition with the nurse in a timely manner.
