We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Horseback Trail Guide to lead groups of riders through our beautiful mountain vista trail while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horses, a strong communication skillset, and the ability to educate riders of all levels on horseback riding techniques and safety protocols. The position requires a level of physical fitness, time management skills, and the ability to adapt to varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead groups of riders through designated trails, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance on horseback riding techniques and safety procedures.
- Educate riders on horse behavior and body language to promote a positive and respectful relationship with the animals.
- Offer personalized coaching and feedback to riders to help them improve their riding skills.
- Ensure riders are properly fitted with helmets and safety gear before departing on the trail.
- Monitor the physical condition and well-being of the riders and adjust the pace of the ride accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with riders, addressing any concerns or questions they may have during the ride.
- Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive to riders' needs and providing helpful recommendations for future rides.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the stables and trails.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the horses for trail rides.
