Job Title: Multispecialty, RCM Account Manager



Job Overview

:

As an Account Manager at Knack RCM, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of revenue cycle management for our clients in the healthcare industry. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with clients, overseeing the performance of RCM processes, managing accounts, and ensuring that billing and collections are performed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare revenue cycle management, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

:

Client Relationship Management

: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships. Communicate regularly with clients to understand their needs, concerns, and goals within their RCM processes. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insight into how our services can support their revenue cycle operations. Address client inquiries, escalate issues when necessary, and ensure client satisfaction with RCM services.

RCM Process Oversight

: Monitor and oversee the execution of RCM services including coding, billing, collections, and payment posting, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS guidelines). Collaborate with internal teams (coding, billing, collections) to resolve issues and improve processes. Ensure that client accounts are managed efficiently and that all revenue is collected in a timely manner.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client accounts, including billing accuracy, claim rejection rates, payment posting, and collections. Prepare and deliver detailed performance reports to clients, offering insights and recommendations to optimize their revenue cycle. Identify any areas of concern in client accounts and work proactively to implement corrective actions.

Client Onboarding & Training

: Assist new clients with onboarding, explaining RCM services, timelines, and expectations. Provide ongoing training to clients as needed, ensuring they understand the RCM processes and how they can optimize their revenue cycle operations.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution

: Address and resolve any operational or billing issues related to client accounts. Work with internal teams to troubleshoot and rectify errors, such as claims denials or payment delays, to ensure a smooth client experience.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Support

: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operational teams to ensure client expectations are met and that service delivery is aligned with contractual agreements. Ensure that contract terms, including SLAs and KPIs, are met or exceeded.

Continuous Improvement

: Proactively suggest improvements to internal processes and client workflows, helping optimize the overall RCM process. Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in the healthcare industry and revenue cycle management to provide value to clients.

Qualifications

:

Experience

: + 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or account management in a healthcare setting. + Experience working with RCM software, healthcare billing systems, and EHR/EMR platforms.
+ Proven experience in managing client relationships and handling complex client concerns.

Skills

: + Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and billing requirements (HIPAA, CMS, payer-specific rules). + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and performance data.
+ Problem-solving skills, with a focus on resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.

Preferred

: + Experience working with diverse payer systems and insurance contracts. + Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT codes, and medical coding standards.
+ Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, or other relevant coding classifications.
