General Position Summary

Performs routine cleaning of museum facilities and maintenance of grounds around buildings. Works in cooperation with the museum maintenance technician to keep all facilities in good working order.

• High School Diploma/GED

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Language Skills \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Mathematical Skills \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10\'s and 100\'s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Reasoning Ability \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Salary and Benefits

This is an hourly, non-exempt position, with a wage range of $ 13.62 - $ 17.73 per hour. The pay range listed here reflects the FULL pay range for this position for the current fiscal year. Salary offers are based on the candidate\'s equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time, on-call position. Management assigns exact schedules. It is the attendance standard of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work. Full or partial absence during any scheduled shift, arriving late, or leaving early, for whatever reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.
