What we do at Project Resources Group (PRG)Project Resources Group (PRG) seeks a skilled Engineering Specialist with expertise in Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTP) technology to provide technical support on client-focused projects. This role is crucial in overseeing and enhancing the implementation of FTTP solutions for our clients, ensuring the technical and operational requirements are met efficiently.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do * Fiber Network Design:Maintain a deep understanding of the Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering process to collaborate with construction and network engineers on client projects effectively.Plan, design, and implement fiber optic networks for indoor construction projects, focusing on Multi-Dwelling Units (MXUs). * Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility and gather necessary data for design.

• CAD Proficiency:

• Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed and accurate fiber optic network layouts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project requirements.
• Building Code Compliance:

• Stay updated on relevant building codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all design activities.
• Incorporate building code requirements into fiber network designs to meet industry standards.
• MXU Experience:

• Demonstrate expertise in designing fiber optic networks for Multi-Dwelling Units, considering the unique challenges and requirements of such projects.
• Optimize designs for scalability and efficiency in MXU environments.
• Client Project Support:

Provide dedicated technical support for client projects by reviewing design quality, validating field and permitting revisions, and addressing inquiries from engineering and construction vendors. * Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of fiber designs into overall project plans.

• Documentation and Reporting:

Keep meticulous records of all client project activities, including technical specifications, meeting notes, and action items.Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and permitting agencies to ensure transparency and project alignment. * Excel Proficiency:

• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, project tracking, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets to manage and organize project-related information.

Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Related field, Or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a Fiber Design Engineer, specifically with MXU projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software for fiber optic network design.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and project management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.

• $70k-$90K per year depending upon experience
