Implements the Quality Assurance/Control Program, including inspecting, testing, and documenting in the quality record regarding concrete, structural steel, site work, and skin/interiors of commercial construction projects
Coordinates with Owner\xe2\x80\x99s representative and/or Architect of record for compliance, including Non-Conformance Report (NCR), punch list items, and final resolution of such items
Interfaces with the Design team and City Code Inspectors for compliance inspections
Monitors subcontractors work for compliance to contract documents and design specifications * Inspects installation of material and equipment for quality control compliance
Works to resolve any Quality Control Issues, including non-conformances and punch list items
Manages the quality program records
Responsible for daily reports and inspection as required to ensure compliance and adherence to the contract documents, including site observation daily reports, Non-Conformance Record (NCR), punch list items, etc. * Responsible for field observation, inspection, and reporting related to specific tasks such as pre-pour checklists, backfill checklists, excavation permits, etc.
Administers and reviews all testing reports and follows-up with contractors on failing until closure
Attends pre-bid and pre-construction, pre-activity, and weekly QAQC meetings with subcontractors to discuss project requirements and explain expectations and requirements
Maintains technical and other pertinent documents
Walks the project to check the subcontractors\xe2\x80\x99 work
Prepares the final walk-through checklists for contractor and subcontractor work
Requirements:
Bachelor or Associates degree strongly preferred in Engineering and/or Construction Management
NDT/NDE Level II VT certifications required
Minimum of 2-3 years or more experience in a commercial//Semiconductor/aviation construction QA/QC role
Successful completion of OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within the first year of employment)
Ability to read and understand plans specifications, codes, and contract requirements
Ability to perform in-process inspections and effectively communicate results
Familiar with electronic data collection and inspection methods
Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)
