Description
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:

Qualifications
10 Smythe is a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry 38 bed unit that provides care and services to patients who are admitted for a variety of reasons. The primary focus is Respiratory, Renal, Urology, and Neurology. 10 Smythe is the stroke unit, takes the COVID patients, as well as the patients on peritoneal dialysis. There are 17 semi-private rooms and 4 private rooms.
New Grad RNs who accept a position with 10 Smythe will be eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus in addition to the $15,000 Loan Repayment program.
Position Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of Diploma/Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in nursing from accredited program. Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.
License Requirements:
An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN preferred. Prior experience in the Acute Care setting in a practicum or UAP capacity (STNA, PCNA, NA II, etc.) is preferred.
