Job Description

Peninsula Allergy and Asthma Associates is searching for an energetic, friendly team player to join our busy, two office practice in a patient scheduling role. Must be courteous, helpful, professional, and have excellent phone etiquette skills.

This is a full-time position at our Georgetown office. Occasional travel to our Salisbury office is expected to help with sick and vacation coverage.



Hours: Monday- Thursday: 8:45am - 5pm with a paid hour lunch from 12pm- 1pm. Friday: 8:45am- 2pm



Duties:



Schedule all new patient appointments for both locations Verify insurance eligibility Obtain insurance referrals/authorizations Weekly reminder calls for all upcoming new patient appointments Create and mail out new patient packets Assist reception with answering incoming phone calls Scanning of patient records Filing duties Cover/Fill-in for front desk as needed

Qualifications:


- Patient service experience
- Office and clerical experience
- Front desk operations
- Phone etiquette proficiency
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
