Job Description
Supplemental Stipend.
Provides guidance and ongoing support to beginning teachers to increase student achievement and to retain high quality educators.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Demonstrates effective implementation of all Iowa Teaching Standards and criteria.
- Meets district standards as set forth in the certified staff performance evaluation handbook.
- Support beginning teacher initial and ongoing induction.
- Provide leadership in instructional knowledge, methods and materials to beginning teacher.
- Provide support to beginning teachers in assuming their roles and responsibilities.
- Maintain professional growth through graduate and/or staff development courses, professional organizations, seminars and/or professional literature.
- Attend and participate in beginning teacher and mentor meetings.
- Problem-solve issues with curriculum, instruction, and assessment with beginning teacher.
- Visit beginning teachers\' classrooms and provide feedback.
- Work in a highly effective and collaborative manner.
- Complete all trainings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
