The Nursing Manager oversees the nursing staff and overall nursing department. His/Her duties include evaluating and directing all nursing employees, establishing goals for the nursing department, and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies. The Nursing Manager is responsible for ensuring all nursing personnel are always performing productively and efficiently. The Nursing Manager builds training programs and operating policies that help the nursing staff meet goals that improve the overall performance of the healthcare facility. The Nursing Manager ensures the department budget is followed and considered when ordering new supplies and making any other financial decisions.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervising all nursing staff
Overseeing department budgets
Reporting to higher management in the healthcare facilities
Maintaining high standards of care for all patients
Managing patients\xe2\x80\x99 data and medical records as confidential records
Communicating with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health
Maintains the nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
Hiring, supervising, reviewing, and terminating nursing staff as needed.
Providing ongoing education classes
Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies
Models a service-oriented culture
Ensures Regulatory and Policy Compliance
Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses and auxiliary staff.
Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff.
Maintains nursing staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining through monitoring and appraising nurses\xe2\x80\x99 job performance.
Provides information to patients and the health care team by answering questions and requests.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by designing health procedures and protocols.
Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team-building exercises.
Drives business excellence, staff excellence, clinical excellence, and customer excellence

Completes inventory/ordering of all medical supplies and medications while following department budgetary guidelines.
Understanding of supply management, staffing, and standards of care. Proven leadership, personnel mgmt., and physician relations skills. Responsible for directing, coordinating, and controlling all operating functions, processes, and staff.
Facilitating and solving disputes and boundary issues with clients and/or co-workers.

Job Requirements:
BSN or ASN completed from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
Active RN or LPN license in good standing
1-year prior experience in a hospital and/or mental health setting preferred
Certified BLS provider current or able to obtain within 1 month of hire
Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Ability to work as a member of a team
Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude
Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relation skills
Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR (Kipu)
Knowledge of "best practices" behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies

Minimum 5 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience; at least 2 years\' experience in nursing supervision required.
