You create plans, implement policies, manage resources, oversee finances, and manage quality improvement efforts. Arrange educational programs to meet goals and act as caregiver when needed.What You\'ll Do
  • Formulate and communicate a clear vision for nursing practices within your area of responsibility.
  • Involve supervisory and other staff in setting and accomplishing departmental goals.
  • Continually update your knowledge base with the latest evidence-backed clinical and leadership practices.
  • Foster a healing and supportive environment for patients, families, and fellow staff members.
  • Recognize development needs and facilitate educational opportunities for staff members.
  • Set a positive example of professionalism within the nursing field and work atmosphere.
  • Incorporate the organization\'s mission and goals into strategies for staff and patient care.

  • Bachelor\'s degree.
  • A minimum of three years\' professional experience is required for this role.
  • RN licensed.
  • You also need Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days on the job.
