Overview

Presbyterian is hiring an RN Nurse Navigator for the Oncology Supportive Care at Kaseman Hospital.

The nurse navigator is a patient advocate and is responsible for facilitating and following the cancer patient from point of diagnosis to treatment and then coordinating arrangements for survivorship care or providing quality of life care for cancer patients. The navigator is the contact person for the patient/family and serves as the liaison to all physicians and healthcare staff providing care and support for the patient

Qualifications

Credentials: Registered Nurse - State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required.

BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing experience in Oncology

*Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

*ONS NN education within two weeks of hire.

*Chemo-bio cert within 6 months of hire.

*APHON-requirement for Peds Dept.
