Shift Details: xefx83x98Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Role Scopexc2xb7 The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides Pre-Admission testing for surgical patients in Central Region and satellite locations.xc2xb7 Responsible for coordinating preoperative care including history and physicals (H&Pxe2x80x99s), and all required patient testing prior to proceduresxc2xb7 Consults with collaborating providers and specialists when necessary in an effort to achieve the best possible patient outcomexc2xb7 Performs / completes accurate preoperative physical exams in accordance with established licensure and certificationxc2xb7 Selectively orders and interprets appropriate laboratory studies, X-rays, EKGs and other diagnostic tests and proceduresxc2xb7 Participates in system-wide councils in an effort to standardize care provided by the Pre-Admission Center(s) across the systemxc2xb7 Drives initiatives to improve surgical outcomes; reduce preventable readmissions, increase patient and provider satisfaction, improve patient outcomes, build relationships with community and hospital providers and increase revenue to the organizationSchedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/weekAdvanced Practitioners Enjoyxc2xb7 No call, weekends, no holidays!xc2xb7 A wide patient populationxc2xb7 A collegial atmospherexc2xb7 Competitive compensationxc2xb7 LEAN process improvement to drive quality outcomes and positively enhance both the patient and the provider experience.QualificationsAdvanced Practitioner Qualificationsxc2xb7 Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masterxe2x80x99s programxc2xb7 Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticutxc2xb7 Board Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Acute Care or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or certification as Physician Assistantxc2xb7 A minimum of 1 year practicing clinically in-person as an advanced practitioner is required
