SUMMARYWe are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Urology Clinic in downtown Minneapolis. This position is part-time (0.8 FTE) and will work day shift (8 shifts per pay period, 8 hour shifts). A $4,000 hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).***This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow.RESPONSIBILITIESWithin the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

• Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
• Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
• Educating patient on their disease process
• Assuring continuity of care
• Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
• One year of current professional nursing (RN) experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of ambulatory clinic RN experience
• Certification in area of clinical specialty
• BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
