Responsibilities
Nutrition Representatives provide outstanding customer service to families and visitors and make sure patients and families get the best quality food service experience. Nutrition Representatives may work in two or more of the following areas of the department: Delivery, Assembly and Call Center. Nutrition Representatives navigate electronic health records and operate software and maintain technological devices needed to provide nutrition to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings; including process meal payments (operate mobile payment options and equipment for credit card payments & manage electronic till); solve or escalate customer concerns, provide information to patients about diet orders and use excellent customer service skills and problem solving skills in all of their work.
Nutrition Representatives interpret complex diet orders, conduct simple food preparation, and delivery of patient and families meals to various areas throughout the main campus. Upon meal delivery they present and set up ordered food in the in the patient care areas according to standard work; performing patient ID verification steps (includes direct patient contact and communication as well as partnering with nurses and other clinical staff); and perform soiled meal trays pick-up. They are also responsible for assembling, delivering and picking up catering orders for both on main campus and outside SCH facilities.
Nutrition Representatives are responsible for interpreting orders from the Electronic Health Record, escalating interface issues, receiving and processing incoming food orders (primarily via phone) for patients, visitors, and staff. Assist customers on restricted diet orders with selecting appropriate foods using resources to provide complete, accurate responses. Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the nutrition software applications and follows processes in accordance with call center standards to ensure accuracy and operational effectiveness. Nutrition Representatives frequently communicate with disciplines throughout the hospital to ensure proper Electronic Health Record orders and information is communicated regarding patient\xe2\x80\x99s nutrition care plan. Process meal service payments from various methods such as credit card, cash, and other finanicial aid benefits.

Requirements
Required Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 2 years of customer service, food service experience OR related experience OR equivalent nutrition/dietetics education.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Required Credentials:
- Washington State Food and Beverage Service Worker\xe2\x80\x99s Permit, or to be obtained within 1 month of employment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
- Significant experience working in a healthcare/customer service environment.
- Healthcare food service experience or equivalent nutrition/dietetics education.
- Call center or similar customer service work or volunteer experience.
- Bilingual

$18.60 - $27.90 /hr
Min to Max Annual Salary
$38,688.00 - $58,032.00 /yr
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children\xe2\x80\x99s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
