GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:As a member of an interdisciplinary team, provides comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to patients.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:xc2xb7 Performs Occupational Therapy Services in a Community Residential Treatment Program.Provides group and/or individual therapy to clients as needed. Interventions should be structured appropriately to the specific clientele being served.xc2xb7 Evaluate patients according to established Occupational Therapy guidelines appropriate to patientxe2x80x99s diagnosis and age. Interpret evaluation results and accurately identify problem areas.xc2xb7 Plan and prioritize therapy program. Establish realistic, comprehensive goals based on completed evaluations and patient stated goals.xc2xb7 Administer selected treatment techniques; evaluate effectiveness of treatment and modify approach accordingly.xc2xb7 Record and complete all required written evaluations, progress notes, and supplementary forms according to established guidelines.xc2xb7 Present oral and written information clearly and accurately, following established guidelines and using appropriate channels.xc2xb7 Demonstrate commitment to professional growth through participation in continuing education opportunities and membership in professional organizations.xc2xb7 Establish priorities and organize daily schedule so that job responsibilities are completed within reasonable time frame.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit/department.Must demonstrate reliability, cooperation and sound judgement.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree.
