Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium has a hiring preference for qualified Alaska Native and American Indian applicants pursuant to P.L. 93-638 Indian Self Determination Act.

Summary:





Under direct supervision, provides general clerical support for the department through office organization, records maintenance, filing, reception, scheduling, and general assistance.


Responsibilities:





Performs department administration and support work requiring detailed knowledge. Requests information from and provides information to the department assigned.


Greets and assists customers; answers phones and directs calls.


May schedule, assign, and track the work of other support staff as needed.


Makes travel arrangements for department staff in accordance with company policy and prudent business practice.


Sets appointments, arranges conference rooms, and ensures room, supplies, and documents are prepared for meetings.


Maintains department record-keeping systems, performs general filing, scanning and file retrieval to include logging, distributing, and archiving reports.


Sorts and delivers mail; sends, receives and distributes faxes. Makes copies and scans and files electronic documents. Maintains, orders and stocks office supplies.


Perform department errands as needed.


Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Knowledge of Alaska Tribal Health System, ANTHC, and Alaska Native culture(s) and politics.


Knowledge of customer services concepts and practices


Knowledge of multi-line telephone systems operation.


Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations.


Knowledge of basic purchasing processes.


Knowledge of filing procedures.


Skill in operating office equipment.


Skill in oral and written communication.


Skill in maintaining and updating office and administrator schedules.


Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.


Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.


Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications.


MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION



High School Diploma or GED equivalent.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION



Non-supervisory - Two (2) years of general office experience. Equivalent education, training, or similar experience may be substituted for relevant experience.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION



Experience working in a office preferred.


Experience in the Alaska Tribal Health System.



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Valid State of Alaska driver's license and proof of insurance.
