Overview
The role:
BESTMSLs has contracted with Agenus in seeking an experienced solid tumor Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join an exciting opportunity within our Global Medical Affairs (GMA) team and work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This is a field-based position and an extension of GMA organization. MSLs are responsible for developing professional relationships with healthcare professionals through scientific engagement to support Agenus clinical stage molecules. MSLs engage healthcare professionals through scientific exchange and provide clinical and scientific support.
Responsibilities
In the role you will:
\xc2\xb7 Engage with healthcare professionals / entities to educate on clinical, scientific, and Real World Evidence (RWE) to advance the science and scientific collaborations as aligned with Agenus goals and objectives
\xc2\xb7 Educate on clinical value, Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO), and economic analysis to payers, providers, and other appropriate stakeholders as requested
\xc2\xb7 Synthesize and communicate clinical and scientific insights to internal stakeholders
\xc2\xb7 Attend and present at scientific congresses and meetings to stay up-to-date with the latest scientific developments and trends in the assigned therapeutic area(s).
\xc2\xb7 Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with MSL compliance standards
\xc2\xb7 Execute on MSL strategy consistent with Global Medical Affairs product strategy
\xc2\xb7 Support Agenus sponsored clinical trials through investigators\xe2\x80\x99 site engagement
\xc2\xb7 Support speaker training as requested and ensure speakers are up to date with evolving disease and product data
\xc2\xb7 Support national, regional and local scientific congresses including Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, poster /abstract coverage, and company debriefs
\xc2\xb7 Identify and execute opportunities for scientific collaboration with KOLs and other relevant stakeholders.
\xc2\xb7 Monitor and analyze scientific publications, clinical trials, and competitive landscape in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and allocated regions.
\xc2\xb7 Maintain clinical and scientific expertise and general industry business acumen
\xc2\xb7 Advance MSL value proposition, demonstrate tact and professionalism, and deliver results
\xc2\xb7 Act in accordance with company policies, including, for example, the Code of Business Conduct and ethics and Standards of General Data Protection regulations (GDPR).
\xc2\xb7 Develop territory specific KOL and account plans including OL profiles, pre-call planning, and follow up plans
\xc2\xb7 Communicate clinical and scientific information in an accurate and clear manner
\xc2\xb7 Document MSL quantitative and qualitative accomplishment
Qualifications
Qualifications: About You
\xc2\xb7 BS/BA with at least 10 years of relevant experience focus on clinical practice, clinical research, or relevant oncology training
\xc2\xb7 MD, PharmD, DO, or PhD (with relevant clinical experience)
\xc2\xb7 Five or more years of experience as oncology MSL in solid tumors
\xc2\xb7 Oncology therapeutic experience in particular solid tumors
\xc2\xb7 Industry experience in medical affairs / clinical development at a biotech or pharma
Capabilities:
\xc2\xb7 Impactful verbal and written communication skills.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic environment.
\xc2\xb7 Strong comprehension of disease states, and knowledge of differential algorithms for treatment decisions and experience in disease states of interest to Agenus.
\xc2\xb7 An expert understanding of the health care delivery system, including the managed care arena and its impact on patient care, regional medical care and the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to identify the unmet medical, educational, and research needs at a local & regional level in the medical community.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to interpret key scientific data and translate the findings to meet educational and research needs to affect corporate research strategic activities/decisions.
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of the design and execution of research studies and strategic implications.
\xc2\xb7 Exhibits high degree of emotional intelligence and appreciation of diversity and multiculturalism.
\xc2\xb7 Designs and/or leads training initiatives and best practices.
\xc2\xb7 Proven ability to drive results at a high level of quality as a strategic and creative thinker.
