Open Space Maintenance Worker (Seasonal)
Hiring Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour About the Position:
We offer flexible work schedules, ranging from 20-40 hours per week, the opportunity to earn paid vacation time and overtime in the first few months of employment, and we work with school schedules. Most opportunities provide for a six-month season, and, in some instances, up to 9 months.
Working in our Open Space Program is really about restoration of natural spaces along the Riverfront Trail, the Kindred Reserve, spaces in the Ridges, and other trails near the base of the Colorado National Monument. Work will be in trail maintenance and construction, revegetation projects, and invasive plant management.
About Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department:
We manage 36 developed parks, 900+ acres of open space, 21 miles of trails, hundreds of acres of landscape beds, and we are growing!
