Job Description

The Operating Engineer performs operational and functional checks of Steam Trains, Disneyland Railroad track, and Mark Twain Riverboat, troubleshoot systems/equipment, perform installation, maintenance, and repair of systems/equipment, and conduct quality checks of completed work. Position provides direct support to Firers, Steam Engineers, and Operations teamsSkills/training/experience: journeyman operating engineer or maintenance machinist, Boiler Technician Class A or C, steam train or steam engine experience preferredBasic Qualifications :

• You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role

Technical Abilities

• Be able to use special tools and equipment
• Familiar with pumps, compressors, boilers, steam engines, and associated equipment. Familiar with alignment of pumps and shafts
• Be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Be familiar with or have the ability to learn the Computerized Maintenance Management System

Communication Skills and Abilities

• Strong verbal skills required (able to converse with team members, management, and contractors)
• Ability to use handheld radios, mobile devices, and other communications equipment

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
