WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): The Director \xe2\x80\x93 Intermediate (OM/DIR\xe2\x80\x93I), leader of the DRO Leadership team, is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of all activities functions of a Disaster Relief Operation (DRO). This position requires a leader with a comprehensive set of skills to ensure effective management and communication throughout the entire operation.

This position is located in Kahului, HI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Model leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal skills aligned with the five C\xe2\x80\x99s. Ensure all Red Cross Disaster Relief Operation (DRO) workers are held accountable to exhibit the same behaviors both to the clients and their fellow Red Cross workers.
• Develop overall service delivery strategy and ensure operational strategies are tailored to the needs of diverse communities and services delivered in an equitable and inclusive manner in collaboration with the RCCO, key leaders on the DRO, NHQ, and key community stakeholders.

• Effective communication style and ability to execute the strategy and tactics to accomplish the operational goals and objectives.

• Effectively interact with people at all levels, from operational workers and leadership to suppliers and clients, establishing strong connections and relationships.
• Anticipate potential issues, engage in thorough planning, and apply strategic thinking to stay ahead in operations. Advocate to ensure equity for all affected communities with an emphasis on underserved populations.
• Create and maintain a productive work environment, which includes providing high level customer service, workforce safety, performance evaluation, and ensuring overall team satisfaction.
• Ensure organization and attentiveness to the numerous components and details involved in processes and operations, including providing required input into the development of the Service Delivery Plan, and collaborating with the Red Cross Coordinating Officer and Vice President, Operations and Logistics when adjustments to the plan are necessary.

Standard Schedule: This is a temporary assignment expected to last 3 months to one year. Work hours are 12 hours per day 6 days per week.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree required.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Management Experience: 5 years of management experience.

Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. * Travel: Travel required 60 - 70%Travel: A valid Drivers License is required.

• Physical requirements may include the ability to sit or stand for long periods and adapt to long, irregular hours, and frequent schedule changes are required.
