Seapac, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our operational processes in Mobile, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in managing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, and driving business growth through strategic planning and process improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise teams effectively. The Operations Manager reports to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments (35-50 team members) throughout a 202,000 SF packaging facility.
Day-to-day operations include production, warehousing, handling, & distribution of materials/industrial chemicals.
Manage quality and productivity of operations.
In partnership with General Manager, coach and lead a team committed to operational excellence.
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve processes and increase productivity.
Oversee project management initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Train, develop, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor daily activities while adapting to changing customer requirements.
Properly align associate resources when internal resources are not available.
Identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Identify and balance operational requirements to maintain customer standards and quality.
Monitor industry trends to inform strategic planning and operational adjustments.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations while promoting a culture of safety.
Provide technical/IT support where necessary.

Requirements
2+ years of proven experience in an industrial chemical or packaging environment.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
Experience with PCs, RF guns and printers.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
4 year degree
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse/logistics industry.
OSHA certifications preferred.
Forklift certification
Driver's license
Working knowledge of forklifts, dock levelers and production equipment.
