Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Location: Smithfield, Rhode Island (Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days home)

Capgemini is looking for a highly skilled individual to join our dynamic team. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing efficient database code for REST Service based applications, with a focus on Oracle PL SQL development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient database code using SQL and PL SQL for REST Service based applications
• Redesign or rearchitect Stored Procedures for improved performance and functionality
• Actively participate in all aspects of the software engineering process
• Perform verification and validation of developed SQL code
• Adapt to new technologies and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of strong Oracle database development experience, including Packages, Triggers, Procedures, Functions, etc.
• Strong understanding of design and architecture of Oracle database, preferably the latest version
• Excellent knowledge of RDBMS and hands-on experience in Oracle SQL and PL SQL
• Demonstrated expertise in SQL performance tuning and database performance tuning
• Practical knowledge of Oracle XML DB: Store, Process, and Retrieve XML data within Oracle
• Experience in developing pattern-based solutions and proficiency with abstraction building libraries, interceptors, SDK, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of data structure concepts like Binary Tree, Binary Search Tree, and Graphs
• Hands-on experience with Tree operations and traversals using Order Tree, Pre-order Tree, and Post-order Tree
• Good to have experience with Agile Methodologies
• Well-versed with other Oracle tools like SQL Developer or Toad
• Knowledge of REST Services and Microservices would be an added advantage
