Main Functions

We will train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. The orderly position is an ideal entry-level position for people interested in the medical field. We offer a great team environment with people who thrive in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. We provide flexible shifts and part-time or full-time hours. We are staffing positions to cover our hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. No weekends!

Duties and responsibilities.

Duties - Orderly

• Assists with cleaning and preparing operating rooms between cases
• Cleans rooms between patients (e.g., dusts shelves and countertops, removes linens and places in the bag for daily pickup, removes garbage from operating room and recovery room).
• Keeps scrub sinks clean and free of debris
• Stocks supplies throughout the facility
• Distributes clean linen scrubs and supplies to all appropriate areas
• Maintains the overall cleanliness of the facility
• Keeps hallway free of clutter
• Checks/empties sharps containers throughout the facility
• Cleans equipment in all areas
• Completes weekly decontamination checklist
• Assists with data entry side projects for inventory management.

Qualifications

• A person who enjoys keeping things very tidy and clean (a self-proclaimed neat freak).
• High initiative and assists the team in completing tasks that need to be done to keep stock full and a spotless facility.
• Thrives in a job that involves multi-tasking, hands-on work.
• Computer skills for fast data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate recipient
• Strong ethical and moral character references
