Samaritan Health Services in Oregon has an opportunity for a PA to work in our Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic

Samaritan Health Services, a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking an experienced, highly-trained, sports medicine fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team in Corvallis OR. Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center is a 188-bed medical facility located in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. The only hospital in the city, it is a level II trauma center, and serves as the regional hub for Benton, Lincoln, and Linn counties.In addition, the Orthopedic Surgeon will be part of the Sports Medicine care team providing care for intercollegiate athletics at Oregon State University, a PAC-12 University.

  • Collaborate with a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon to treat injuries in clinical and surgical settings, as well as manage prescription medications
  • Performs physical examination, compiles medical data and records medical history
  • Surgical Assist with an orthopedic sports medicine & arthroscopy surgeon
  • Orders appropriate diagnostic studies when indicated
  • Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner
  • Confirms and tracks appropriate preoperative workups and clearances obtained before surgery
  • Establishes strong relationships with patients and families, as well as collaborating physicians, therapists, trainers, and other members of the treatment team
  • Communicates with and supports patient/families regarding diagnosis, treatment, expectations, and the perioperative experience, in order to facilitate patient comfort and continuity of care.
Job Requirements
  • Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Licensed in the State of Oregon
  • Three years orthopedic experience preferred
