A hospital in the fabulous Las Vegas area is in search of a new Outpatient Clinical Coding Specialist.

With a busy and productive HIM Department, the Outpatient Clinical Coding Specialist will join an organization with an amazing culture, and reputation in the community.

The Outpatient Clinical Coding Specialist will report directly to the HIM Manager. Supported by supervisors as well as a large team of EHR specialists, analysts and Patient Account Representatives, this person will play a key role in the success of the HIM Department.

The Outpatient Clinical Coding Specialist will play a crucial role in coding outpatient clinical medical records. They must be able to collaborate with all levels of the facility to ensure opportunities and recommendations for appropriate coding. The Outpatient Clinical Coding Specialist will be a change agent by monitoring and reporting any trends or discrepancies that arise. The ideal candidate will be CCS, COC, CPC, or CCS-P certified or have their RHIA or RHIT.
