Primary Function:Under the direction and supervision of the Production Manager, this position is responsible for repairing damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, and policies of Willis Automotive.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Paints vehicle surfaces and parts in accordance with specifications.
• Adjusts thermostat to maintain specified temperature in paint booths.
• Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas.
• Hand sprays parts to cover unpainted areas or to apply rust preventative.
• Mixes paint according to specifications and regulates consistency according to atmospheric conditions.
• Communicates work accomplishments and activities to supervisor on a regular basis.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information including vendor catalogs
• Three to five year\'s working knowledge in all aspects of painting vehicles
• Valid Iowa driver\'s license
• Acceptable driving record in accordance with insurance provider
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other machinery in a safe manner
• Skill to mix paint in accordance with specifications and atmosphere
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds comfortably
• Ability to operate vehicles with both manual and standard transmissions
• Must have ability to work well in a team-based environment
