PREREQUISITES

1. Technical Skills Required:

a. Adequately familiar with tools of trade.

b. Five years of commercial and/or residential experience as a painter. Knowledge of all forms of painting trade and equipment, wallboard installation, finishing and repair, vinyl and wallpaper hanging and minor carpentry repairs. Familiar with metal stud construction and installation. Experienced with furniture touch-up and refinishing.

c. Basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing.

d. Adequately familiar with some forms of fire fighting.

e. Able and willing to perform all tasks at Maintenance level of expertise.

f. All work to be completed in an acceptable, professional manner.

2. Personal:

a. Maintain self control under emergency and/or pressured conditions.

b. Pleasant, courteous and neat.

c. Must have color discrimination.

d. Able to do repeated lifting, bending, stooping, climbing and working to heights.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing.

2. Perform all forms of painting, texture shooting, wallboard repair, vinyl and wallpaper hanging as required throughout building.

3. Do furniture touch-up and refinishing as assigned.

4. Do entry-level Public Area Engineer functions as assigned.

5. Maintain all inventories, inspections and follow-up, and work areas as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
