A&E Real Estate was founded in 2011 to invest in multifamily properties in the New York City Metropolitan area with a focus on workforce housing. A&E acquires, operates, improves and manages the properties, and currently owns approximately 12,000 apartments in New York City.

Paralegal

• The Paralegal will assist the General Counsel, Staff Attorneys, and Lease Renewal Manager.
• The Paralegal will also be involved with investigating residents for non-primary cases and/or manage failure to renew holdover cases.
• The Paralegal will deal with different NYC Administrative Agencies
• Corresponds with leaseholders and occupants, and with Asset Managers.
• Monitors and tracks progression of cases.
• Provides overall professional service that results in resident satisfaction and fosters positive tenant relationships.
• Ability to relay decisions, that are not favorable, to residents in a calm and respectful tone.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree or Higher- ( two-year degree is ok. Also willing to accept someone who has a Paralegal Certification)
• Minimum 2 to 3 Years Experience Working as a Paralegal either in a Law Firm or In-House.
• Experience Dealing with Landlord/Tenant Law, Housing Law, Real Estate Law, and Property Management Law
• Experience working at a Property Management Company and/or Real Estate Company ( preferred but not required)
• Experience Handling/Knowledge of Housing Court Matters such as Holdover Proceeding, Non-Payment Proceeding.
• Experience Dealing with NYC Administrative Agencies
• Skill(s) Set: Detailed Oriented, Time Management, Able to work Independently as well as within a Team Environment.

Compensation details: 65000-70000 Yearly Salary
