Job Summary Responsible for providing high quality pre-hospital and interfacility advanced life support including assessment, triage, and treatment utilizing standards and guidelines established by HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA Medical Director(s). The Critical Care Paramedic will be responsible for carrying out the mission of HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA and goals of assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum

Requirements and preferences Licenses, Certifications, Competencies, Skills, Knowledge, experience, and special qualifications: 1 Paramedic Certificate from an accredited college or Associates of Science in EMS 2 Minimum 2 years full time critical care experience at the Critical Care Paramedic level at a demanding 911 or interfacility transport service. 3 Maintains current licensure and certification as a Paramedic in N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services and will obtain S.C. prior to orientation completion 4 National Registry Paramedic 5 Maintain BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and advance provider ITLS or PHTLS 6 Maintain CCEMT-P, CCP-C or FP-C preferred 7 Must have a valid Class C NC driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, must be 21 years old to meet Mission Health insurance guidelines 8 Maintain FEMA 100, 200, 700, & 800 9 Must attend 80% of monthly scheduled team meetings Preferences: 1 College education (or equivalent); bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred 2 Minimum 3-5 years full time critical care experience at the Critical Care Paramedic level at a demanding 911 or interfacilit
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or Ped Educ Prehosp Prof must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Provider Course ITLS, or Prehospital Trauma Life Suppor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Class C License, or Commercial Drivers License (CDL), or Class B License, or Class A License
  • Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C), or Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C), or Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport, or Certified Transplant Preservationist (CTP)
  • Associate Degree, or Certificate, or Associate Degree, or Certificate
