Work Environment Responsibilities associated with this position are typically performed on the shop floor. Movement through industrial or manufacturing areas may be required. Summary of Responsibilities The Straightener straightens product during the manufacturing process. This job description indicates the general nature and level of the work that is expected. - Select machine tooling to be used, utilizing knowledge of machine and production requirements.
- Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications utilizing knowledge of machine operation.
- Measure work pieces using precision measuring devices.
- Lift and position work pieces and secure them on machine tables.
- Activate machine start up switches to perform appropriate production work according to specification.
- High school diploma
