Purpose:


OGA Women's Health is seeking a full-time Patient Financial Advocate to join our team. This position is set to take place Monday through Friday during regular business hours at our Meridian clinic location.

Responsibilities:

The Patient Financial Advocate is responsible for providing billing, insurance, and account information to patients of OGA. The Financial Advocate is responsible for collecting private pay accounts according to Clinic's financial policy and posting patient payments to accounts according to practice guidelines. The Patient Financial Advocate is also responsible for completing the Credit Manager report to maximize point-of-service collections. General responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manages account balances for patients with upcoming visits by completing the credit manager process. Processes approved write-offs, collection turnover and related adjustments in the practice management software. Responsible for accurate data entry of charges. Accurately and timely posting of payments received. Provides financial counseling to patients needing assistance working with the financial policies of the practice. Assists patients with obtaining government benefits where applicable. Assists all clinic staff in providing information on financial policies to patients. Answers Patient Accounts phone line, responding to questions and concerns regarding billing, payments, and account status for Clinic patients. Works credit balances, requesting patient refunds as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
