Job Summary:
The Patient Service Representative is primarily responsible for ensuring high quality customer service and continuation of care. The Patient Service Representative is utilized in performing typical front office functions and referrals. The Patient Service Representative is under the overall on-site supervision of the Psychiatry Practice Administrator.
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, and blood pathogens
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required:
-High School Diploma/GED
-Six (6) months previous front office and insurance experience in a health clinic setting or equivalent experience required
Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
-Knowledge of all areas related to insurance and front office work.
-Excellent customer service skills and good communication skills.
-Ability to multi-task while providing good patient care.
-Good computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems as needed.
-Primary skills include verbal and written communication with patients to promote continuity of care and follow-up as well as daily retrieval and scanning/filing of clinical encounter forms and reports for use by clinic staff during patient care activities.
