Overview

M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for an Patient Services Coordinator at the Wyoming Lakes Clinic located in Wyoming, MN.

This position is approved for 70 hours (.85 FTE) hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible, SEIU union position.

Responsibilities

The Patient Services Coordinator performs a variety of clerical functions to support the provider and patient care staff. The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible to ensure patient medical records and reports are available as needed and prepares applicable medical record forms. Relays messages to and from physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other resources necessary for patient care.

Job Expectations:

  • Coordinate\xe2\x80\x99s activities of care team to support provider and patient care staff.
  • Performs telephone message taking and directs communication in a timely fashion.
  • Requests/obtains patient reports as necessary.
  • Effectively uses communication systems for both routine and emergency transactions.
  • Coordinates communication between care team and outside resources.
  • Enters refills.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Qualifications

Required

Education:

High School diploma/G.E.D.

Experience:

One year healthcare experience is requiired

License/Certification/Registration

Preferred

Experience:

3-5 years healthcare experience is preferred

Other Skills We Desire:

Knowledge of third party payers, billing procedures and insurance.

Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.

Excellent customer service, public relations and communication skills

Ability to prioritize and work with a fluctuation in workload while working independently

Ability to adapt to change and engage in ongoing process improvement

Flexibility to work at other sites is encouraged
