Job Description

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is currently seeking a Payroll Accountant in our Albuquerque, NM office. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to assist others, the ability to multitask and prioritize, and a good communicator. We are looking for the right personality for our team and are willing to train on some of the required skills for this job.

Essential Job Functions:

• Process multi-state payroll for approximately 700 employees
• Audits and verifies electronic timesheets on a weekly basis.
• Enter and review payroll changes for taxes, direct deposit, pay rates, etc.
• Audit of data entry into payroll systems
• Quality control of data accuracy against source documents. Follow processes and procedures in ADP and Deltek Vantagepoint to completion.
• Responsible for maintenance of pay records
• Answers questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.
• Process payroll withholding payments (garnishments, insurance bills, etc.)
• General ledger reconciliations

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must have full payroll life-cycle experience
• ADP and/or Workday experience a plus
• Multi-state payroll processing a plus
• Multi-state taxes a plus
• Primary accounting a plus
• Human Resource experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Deadline driven
• Analytical/critical thinker
• Can work independently, but will ask for clarification
• Can contribute, collaborate and work in a team oriented environment
• Focus on continuous learning and improvement
• Strong communication skills

Salary Range: $37,000.00 - $72,000.00
