Thompson Solutions Group is looking for a Payroll & Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to support our payroll administration and AP functions. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, grow, and make an impact in a dynamic company.

What You'll Do:

Assist with payroll data entry and verification to ensure accuracy before processing. Respond to employee questions about payroll records and discrepancies. Support payroll audits by gathering and organizing documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and payroll regulations. Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports in accordance with prevailing wage laws. Process payroll transactions, including garnishments and deductions. Accurately enter invoices and ensure they comply with company policies. Work with the AP Coordinator and team members to resolve invoice discrepancies. Assist with monthly statement reconciliations and financial reporting. Support general office tasks and provide backup coverage when needed.

What You Bring:

High school diploma or GED (0-2 years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, or a related field). Strong numerical skills and basic math proficiency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn.
