The Division of Neonatology within TCH/Baylor COM is home to more than 100 faculty who provide coverage for healthy and critically ill newborns within the TCH west tower, TCH Pavilion for Women, Ben Taub Hospital and community affiliate sites within the Houston Methodist and St. Luke\'s Hospital Systems. Summary
Texas Children\'s Hospital is seeking a Medical Director who will provide leadership for the clinical care provided within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (173 bed) in collaboration with the 3 Associate Medical Directors for each unit (Pavilion for Women, West Tower Level 4, West Tower Level 4). The medical director works collaboratively with division/hospital leadership, fostering a unified leadership approach within the division and institution.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Texas Children\'s Hospital is the first to be designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) as a level IV NICU, the highest level of care available for premature and critically ill newborns.
Texas Children\'s Hospital is a recognized leader in the treatment of babies born with complications or prematurely and provides care for more than 1,800 infants for each year in the Texas Children\'s Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), making us one of the largest, most experienced NICUs in the country. We provide all services that critically ill or premature babies might need, including on-site neonatologists available 24/7, the highest level of respiratory support, advanced imaging, pediatric surgery, pediatric anesthesiology and more.
