Job Description

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianAs a Pharmacy Technician, you will fill and compound medications, including ointments. You will communicate with nursing staff to confirm dosages and fill prescriptions for a facility that services 1000 beds. Your responsibilities include labeling prescriptions and following pharmacy policies and procedures. You will work in either the daily fill or cycle fill departments. Daily fill involves preparing prescriptions for immediate shipment, while cycle fill involves preparing blister cards and bottles of medications that will last for 30+ days for patients.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Ankeny, Iowa.Work EnvironmentYou will work in a casual environment and must be able to stand for long periods. Shifts rotate weekly: Mon \xe2\x80\x93 Fri 8am \xe2\x80\x93 7pm, Sat 9am-3pm, and Sun 10am-2pm. Weekends are every 3rd weekend. During your weekend shift, you will have a day off and shorter shifts during the week. Dress code is casual with closed-toe shoes.
