Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens by capillary or venipuncture puncture\xc3\x82 \xc3\x82
• Maintain integrity of\xc3\x82 specimen in relation to the test being performed\xc3\x82

• Disposes of contaminated lab supplies\xc3\x82 and\xc3\x82 specimens\xc3\x82 \xc3\x82
• Receives laboratory specimens, orders tests, processes specimens using the centrifuge and\xc3\x82 distributes specimens to appropriate testing areas communicating special instructions\xc3\x82
• Performs clerical duties

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED\xc3\x82

Preferred:\xc3\x82

• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT, ASCP)\xc3\x82
