Description :PRN - Day Shifts - 7:00 AM - 5:30 PMPhysical Therapist Assistant Starting Pay - $24.94 to $31.17 (Based on Experience)Qualifications:

• Current state Physical Therapist Assistant licensure and graduate of an accredited school or college with a certificate as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• BLS certification
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work with all age ranges in field of expertise

• Provides treatment as directed by the evaluating physical therapist. Adheres to standards of physical medicine practice.
• Observes and assesses treatment effectiveness, and discusses observations with evaluating physical therapist.
• Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy modalities, including moist heat/ice packs, iontophoresis, electrical stimulation, paraffin bath, mechanical traction, infrared light therapy, ultrasound, and instruction in/progression of therapeutic exercises.
• Charges patients accurately and timely in compliance with departmental policy and in compliance with specifications outlined in the annual CPT publication (current procedural terminology).
• Meets documentation standards outlined in the physical therapist assistant competencies.
• Maintains regulatory requirements, including Minnesota licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Participates in educational staff performance improvement in-services following participation with continuing education; i.e. discipline specific presentation, department presentation, journal club leader.
• Attends department meetings and in-services, as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.
