We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Business Associate working on a 1099 basis, licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist a licensed Physical Therapist in delivering exceptional patient care through
house call visits
. This position is to see clients in
Southern Orange County
from Lake Forest to San Clemente. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals through effective treatment plans and therapeutic exercises at their homes.
Duties
Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and care plans.
Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises, neuro-muscular retraining, balance training, gate training, and minimal modalities.
Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, home exercise programs, and overall health management.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and medical terminology in compliance with clinic policies.
Support patients with various conditions, including geriatrics, and those requiring specialized neurological and cardiac rehabilitation services.
Requirements
Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
Current California state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-sufficiency in daily responsibilities.
Reliable transportation, including a valid driver's license and access to a personal insured vehicle required.
Comfortable working alone and managing tasks without direct supervision.
Willingness and ability to travel to various locations, including patients' homes, assisted living facilities, and board & care residences.
Experience in geriatrics, home health, or inpatient settings is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and family members.
Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience while working with diverse populations.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in patient care.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
